Resources aligned with the new Common Core Standards (2012) 
On this page are animated PowerPoint presentations created by Rick Medeiros. Rick is a man of few spoken words but a master of turning words into pictures that come to life, hence his title as Visual Wizard.  PowerPoints on this page have either been suggested by workshop participants or have been chosen as resources that are related to the Common Core State Standards Initiative (CCSSI). We hope that teachers will use these as additional tools to use when they are teaching a particular standard. PowerPoints that relate to CCSSI are ordered by standard and grade level.  We have prepared a file that explains each standard, its code (e.g. CC is Counting and Cardinality), and all of its component parts.
